Notice of the Chinese Embassy in the UK on the Exemption of Fingerprints Collection for Short-term Visa Applicants
 
As of 1 May 2019, applicants who hold ordinary passports and apply for ordinary visas for Hong Kong/Macau SAR are required to submit their applications at the Chinese Visa Application Service Centers. The Chinese Embassy and Consulates in the U.K. will no longer accept such visa applications.
 
From 23rd October, 2023 the London Chinese Visa Application Service Centre will cancel the visa appointment booking system. Visa applicants can directly visit the Visa Centre without appointment with the completed online application form and related supporting documents for visa processing.
Friendly Reminder: Due to a high volume of visa applications, we kindly advise applicants to arrange their application times reasonably,thus preventing unnecessary inconvenience.
Application Submission: 9a.m - 3p.m
 
Please be aware of phone scams!
Please note that we do not ask for any payment by phone or online. All the payment regarding your visa application should be done when you are in the visa centre. 
If you think you've been scammed and concern about your Chinese visa application, please write to us.
If you think you've fallen victim, please report to the police and contact your bank immediately.
 
 
Notice of Favorable Visa Policy for "Young Envoys Scholarship(YES)Programe" Applicants
 
Chinese Embassy and the Consulates-General in the UK shall issue three-year F visa with multiple entries, applicants with exclusive YES invitations issued by CEAIE are eligible. At the same time, visa processing fees (including expedited fees) will be waived. Applicants should bring relevant documents (including passport, application form, YES invitation letter and photos of the application) directly to the embassy or the consulateds-general for application.
